Outside of his La Flame rap persona, Travis Scott’s entry into fashion has been met with heaps of congratulatory praise from both industry insiders and those peering in from afar. Together with Nike, Scott has unveiled a handful of noteworthy sneaker mashups, in addition to crafting highly-creative merch capsules in line with his own album strategy rollouts. On that note, the Astroworld rapper has dropped brand new apparel to coincide with his forthcoming Air Max 270 React “Cactus Trail” silhouette created alongside Nike.
The activewear-inspired “Cactus Trails” capsule extends beyond streetwear styling sensitivities and is rife with forceful hiking undertones. Spread across an array of classic sportswear staples is graphic imagery, tonal variances and garment functionality that allude to the great outdoors. Use of fleece becomes immediately apparent with such pieces as the Tri-Colored Full-Zip Sherpa Jacket, Half-Zip Sherpa Pullovers and Full-Zip Sherpa Vest grabbing the lion’s share of the attention. Elsewhere, a spattering of T-shirts, hoodies and shorts, all of which highlight relevant “Cactus Trail” motifs, solidify the collection’s garment portion, while a swarm of notable accessory options, including a sleeping bag, hammock, carabiner clips etc. do well to uphold the offering’s intended theme.
