Given the state of our current social climate, designers, brands, artists and business owners in general have had to explore creative ways to keep their followers engaged. Noted streetwear retailer SOMEWHERE® have done just that by creating a unique shopping experience that bridges the gap between visiting a physical brick-and-mortar outpost and using forward-thinking technology.
The store’s WINDOW SHOP concept was initially put in place as a way to implement and execute social distancing protocols. As a result, passerby’s can drop by SOMEWHERE®’s Washington, DC location to peruse the store’s highlighted merch displayed within the main window setting, while finalizing intended purchases through a product QR code.
New to the display is a collaborative T-shirt designed in tandem alongside Awake NY. The jet black tee calls attention to a co-branded emblem etched on the front with additional text highlighted on the back. Sitting below an enlarged image of the aforementioned logo is a bright yellow WINDOW SHOP stamp, in addition to the shop’s store location.
The celebratory Spring/Summer 2020 shirt from SOMEWHERE® and Awake NY is available for purchase now. Meanwhile, in other style news, Kid Cudi recently dropped new Virgil Abloh-designed merch.
