With this year’s Spring/Summer 2020 season just a few short months away, Saint Laurent has already identified its next high profile ambassador. Known primarily for his work on screen, James Bond villain and Bohemian Rhapsody frontman, Rami Malek, has been pegged to star in the luxury label’s upcoming seasonal campaign.
Not new to the high-fashion sphere by any means, Malek earlier showed face for Dior Homme alongside ASAP Rocky in 2017. Lensed by sharp shooter David Sims, the big screen star can be seen fronting archetypal YSL wares in a moody, black and white affair. Anthony Vaccarello’s signature semblance echoes throughout via streamlined suiting options disrupted by ornamental accents here and there. For instance, shimmery sequins infiltrate form-fitting trousers and a cropped blazer, while polka dots help embellish a bolo-style neck tie and a closed placket button-down shirt. Of the three looks teased so far, the CPO-style military shirt—complete with shoulder straps and decorative strips—steal the show as a standout piece. Sharp accessory items, including a star necklace, belt and fedora compliment the signature wares, doing well to add opulent flair to the mix.
