palace new era

Brand new for the current fall/winter season is this sportswear-inspired capsule courtesy of Palace. Geographically on par with other stylistic tastemakers, the celebrated streetwear stalwart boasts outposts in several major metropolises; the new offering commemorating each of the brand’s flagship pillars. Designed in tandem with New Era, the capsule leans heavily into the latter’s baseball styling considerations, as can be seen in this three-piece capsule celebrating London, Los Angeles, New York and Tokyo.

Imbued across a range of hoodies, jerseys and caps, each region receives its own tonal palette with stylistic cues reflective of local cultural sensitivities. Clad in deep burgundy all the way around, London’s items flaunt an image of Big Ben laid out over a 2020 baseball graphic, while the stark black scheme assigned to New York is broken up with hits of red, green and white as a nod to the city’s deep-rooted Italian lineage. The dark grey base utilized by Tokyo comes underscored by a mountainous/skyline mix with the year 3020 sitting below, while Los Angeles also makes use of a baseball emblem; this one particularly meaningful given that the L.A. Dodgers were recently crowned as the World Series champs.

The collaborative collection between New Era and Palace will drop in store and online come November 6. In other fashion news, The North Face Japan launched its Repair Shop program.
