Virgil Abloh’s relationship with Nike has proven to be one of the most iconic partnerships the fashion sphere has ever experienced. In 2017 when both sides came together in the name of “The Ten” collection, die-hard sneakerheads and novice onlookers alike knew they had just witnessed a footwear revelation. Before too long, high-profile runways, neighborhood street corners, shop shelves, and high-end fashion lookbooks were inundated with collaborative Nike silhouettes of every kind.
As a follow up to that legendary release, Abloh recently hit up Instagram to tease a familiar favorite. First hitting the scene in 2018 via randomized teaser images are these Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “MoMA” models, to which the designer captioned with the phrase “Savage Mode.” Clad in premium black leather up top, a lot of the same familiar touch points inform the throwback runner, as can be seen in the silver foil side Swooshes, orange tag accent, plastic hang tab, and “AIR” branding along the midsole.
Retail price and drop date still have yet to be identified, so be sure to check back for future updates. In other collaborative Nike news, Slam Jam recently unveiled a new Dunk model.
