As a worthy follow up to this year’s Air Max Day festivities, Nike has taken the wraps of yet another striking AM rework. The all-new Air Max 2090 appears to be settling nicely into the series’s historic lineage, having already dropped in a series of bold colorways over the past few weeks. Next up for the lineup is this eye-catching “Blue Void/Active Fuchsia” palette.
Synthetic overlays swath the upper region with deeps hits of black and navy trading blows here and there. Tonal splashes of light purple and yellow subtly disrupt the sombre scheme, as can be seen punching through the textured heel badge, rear midsole region, and toe guard. More of the same peak out from the lateral side, with yellow forming a hallowed-out Swoosh, and like-hued stitching sitting directly below. Other points of interest include the rip-chord heel pull tab, in addition to the branded oval cut-outs embellishing the tongue. Elsewhere, the midsole gives rise to a tetrad palette of white, black, yellow, and purple spread out over the air bag, heel and toe guard.
Set to a retail price of $150 USD, the Nike Air Max 2090 “Blue Void/Active Fuchsia” will make its way online in the coming days ahead. This “members exclusive” colorway can easily be unlocked by creating a member account with Nike. In case you missed it, check out the Swoosh’s Air Max Day documentary.
