Ahead of ALYX’s Fall/Winter 2020 showcase set for early next week, founder and creative director, Matthew Williams, recently hit up Instagram to tease a series of collaborative Nike Air Force 1s. Williams has aligned with Nike on past projects and chose to keep their relationship moving forward with this new rework. First revealed back in 2018 by way of mock-up images, the 1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 will likely make its debut during the label’s PFW presentation as a way to counter its unconventional styling.
Forged from premium tumbled leather, the throwback hoops runner will drop in four classic colorways, including all white, all black, tonal black with contrasting white accents and tonal white set against clashing black cues. Signature ALYX detailing peak out from the ankle strap/buckle structure, with decorative branding accents—in either gold or silver tooling—landing on the lateral heel counter.
Although release details remain vague for the time being, it is believed that the collaborative Nike Air Force 1 will drop in a limited run during ALYX’s Paris pop-up on January 16. In case you missed it, Off-White™ unveiled its Fall/Winter 2020 collection, of which also called attention to a new Nike collab.
