Although traditional design thought would place JUUN.J and Canada Goose on opposing sides of the style spectrum, both have shown a willingness to leverage each’s creative strengths within a collaborative environment. With one anchored around functionality and durability and the other making its mark pushing design sensitivities into the far-off future, both brands have uncovered a middle ground where style and substance walk hand-in-hand. The duo’s latest collection picks up where their joint FW19 range left off, with the famed South Korean designer choosing to rework a trio of signature silhouettes.
Hitting the scene in white, navy and black tonal options, Canada Goose’s Resolute Parka, Snow Mantra Parka and Expedition Parka all receive a spattering of contemporary design tweaks. JUUN.J does well to modernize the time-honored classics by adding a throng of innovative accoutrements, including decorative tape seams, exaggerated drawstring chords, quilted hood attachments, and D-ring-style loops, amongst others.
The new JUUN.J x Canada Goose collection has received a November 11 drop date, and will be available through Canada Goose’s web store. In other fashion news, Dickies Life recently unveiled its new tartan-centric capsule.
