Late last year, Dior and Jordan Brand sent the sneaker world ablaze with leaked images of a collaborative Air Jordan 1 High. The unveiling of the throwback Swoosh runner effectively set the stage for a slick low-top variant, which hit the airwaves just last week. With that in tow, both brands chose to keep their collaborative footprint alive and well with the release of a ready-to-wear capsule collection.
Fronted by none other than noted Jordan Brand collaborator, Travis Scott, comes an activewear-inspired lookbook that unites both sportswear and luxury menswear codes. Dressed in “Dior Gray,” “the collection balances timeless silhouettes from the Jordan and Dior vaults while bringing new life to classic sport styles,” as per a statement. “These pieces bring together the House’s exceptional tailoring expertise with a 1980s American sportswear feel inspired by the legendary Michael Jordan.”
MA-1 bomber jackets line up next to suede hoodies, cashmere sweaters, bob hats, and necklaces, all of which take on the signature gray hue interrupted by hits of navy and white. Lastly, a reworked “Air Dior” logo is informed all throughout, landing on tees, headwear and wool suits.
The Dior x Jordan Brand “Air Dior” capsule will make its retail debut sometime in April at participating Dior locations. In other fashion news, Frank Ocean’s Blonded site recently dropped new merch for Spring 2020.
