Dior and Jordan Brand closed out 2019 with a bang, hitting the market with an all-new, yet highly sophisticated take on the insanely-popular Air Jordan 1. Kim Jones joins an impressive list of design maestro’s, including the likes of Virgil Abloh and Hiroshi Fujiwara, who have each reworked the throwback hoops sneaker in their own signature styles. The duo’s original AJ1 High OG shook the sneaker industry to its core after first hitting the scene in Miami for Dior’s Pre-Fall 2020 show.

And now, as a worthy follow up to its high-top predecessor, Dior and Jordan Brand are now set to reveal the sneaker in a rare low-top variant. Hits of cream and “Dior Grey” alternate throughout the upper with the latter landing on the vamp, side panels, tongue and collar, while the latter finds a home on the ankle, rear, eyestay and toe tip. Creatively on par with the High OG, the new iteration also calls attention to the Dior-branded side panel Swoosh with a Dior Air insignia accentuating the tongue tab.

Dior and Jordan Brand’s latest will be produced in a limited run of just 4,700 pairs—commemorating the relaunch of the Dior house back in 1947. As a quick recap, only 8,500 pairs of the High OG were created to honor the 1985 arrival of the Air Jordan 1. The new Air Jordan 1 Low will make its debut sometime in April and will only be sold at participating Dior stores across the globe.

Elsewhere on the footwear front, adidas applied its BOOST technology onto its adilette Slide silhouette.
