Amidst all the uncertainty fashion brand’s continue to face at this point in time, Nike continues to make one thing crystal clear; its signature Dunk silhouette would be repositioned to create a shift within the streetwear sneaker space. Similar in stature to what the Air Jordan 1 accomplished a few years ago, the former has been put through the ringer by some of the most gifted design minds in the industry; think Travis Scott, Off-White™, and Cactus Plant Flea Market, amongst others. Japanese imprint AMBUSH has reengineered several Swoosh silhouettes throughout its historic run, and is back to unpack an all-new version of the stately sneaker. As a result, the brand took to Instagram earlier today, teasing images of a clean, two-toned iteration.
Hits of premium leather—in both black and white—trade blows up top with a spattering of eccentric design twists put in place to interrupt the familiar. The side panels of each shoe make room for an elongated Swoosh that extends beyond the rear, as does the branded heel strip sitting directly underneath. Other standout features include dual branded tongue tabs and an exposed stitched collar heel that forms a quilted line effect.
The AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Black/White” is slated for a December 12 drop date. You can expect the collaborative shoe to hit Nike and AMBUSH’s online shops when they become available. In other sneaker news, 1017 ALYX 9SM and Nike came together on a new Air Force 1 High.
