Jordan Brand’s signature Air Jordan 3 silhouette is by no means new to animal-inspired makeovers. Over the course of its historic run, the throwback hoops runner has taken on its fair share of creature-based reworks, which include the use of pony-hair panels and cheetah prints, amongst a whole host of others. A brand new iteration of the AJ3 has come out of the woodworks, with Nike unveiling a set of images that does well to highlight the shoe’s material makeup on top of its punchy tonal scheme.
Reptilian-centric impressions accentuate the leather panels that blanket the uppers, while the collar, heel, rear and toe box call attention to lively pops of color. Green makes its presence felt along the ankle collar, while forceful hits of yellow scream out from the rear heel badge and inner sockliner. Lastly, subtle splashes of red find a home on the bottom eyestay alignment and tongue.
The all-new Air Jordan 3 “Animal Instinct” 2.0 edition in “Black/Multi-Color” will fetch a retail price tag of $225 USD and will make its way to select Jordan Brand retailers by June 6. Speaking of Air Jordan’s, take a look at this new AJ4 “Metallic Purple” model.
