Under his OAMC imprint, Luke Meier aligned with adidas last year to reveal their first-ever silhouette, known simply as the Type O-1. Earlier this month, OAMC displayed its brand new Type O-6 model upon the runways of Paris Fashion Week, which when looking back, set the stage perfectly for the unveiling of the pair’s collaborative Spring/Summer 2020 capsule. The five-piece range revolves around adidas‘s Supercourt RX, however, does bring OAMC-centric styling considerations to the forefront.
New to the Type O-1 is a trio of muted palettes, including, “Mid Grey,” “Natural White” and an OAMC-exclusive “Camel” colorway. A harmonized mix satisfying both, style and substance, the runner’s distinct makeup is achieved by mixing mesh, rubber and leather all throughout the upper with a quirky mid foot strap conjoining the sock-like upper to the split-level midsole.
The Type O-2, on the other hand, emphasizes the sleek mid-foot design of the Stan Smith, of which also sits atop the same split Supercourt midsole. With the exclusion of “Camel,” only “Mid Grey” and “Natural White” will make its way to the signature sneaker. Lastly, a metallic-based branding tag sits below the medial collar as a way to creatively highlight the sneaker’s model name.
Priced at $280 USD and $250 USD, respectively, the OAMC x adidas Originals SS20 collection will be made available via OAMC’s web store and adidas’s online shop on January 23. In other collaborative news, BAPE and Dr. Martens come together on a new 1460 Boot rendition.
