Not since 2001.

Thanks largely to such artists as Virgil Abloh and Travis Scott, Nike SB’s infamous Dunk model has once again been thrust into the sneaker spotlight with the reemergence of this classic colorway. First spotted in Nike Japan’s-exclusive “Ugly Duckling” pack alongside its “Veneer” and “Ceramic” counterparts, “Plum” hit the scene back in 2001, and has since been brought back to life for all to enjoy.

Fashioned primarily from a sturdy nubuck overlay, hits of both, light and dark purple alternate all throughout the upper with splashes of deep red peaking out from the side panel Swoosh, outsole and tongue tab. Stark white finds a home along the midsole, providing tonal contrast to the overall color scheme. For those who can recall, Nike SB dropped a similar palette back in 2011 on the Dunk High, however, will re-release this Dunk Low version for the first time since its initial run.

The new Nike Dunk Low “Plum” will make its return on February 7 through Nike SNKRS and will likely retail for $110 USD. In other sneaker news, Matthew Williams recently unveiled a series of Nike Air Force 1s.
