Just ahead of its London Fashion Week showing this coming weekend, MM6 Maison Margiela recently teased its upcoming collaboration alongside The North Face. Although MM6 represents the larger collective’s womenswear line, the joint venture will indeed factor in unisex sensibilities for all to enjoy.
A series of signature TNF outerwear will pass through Margiela’s creative lens, however, will surely place emphasis on technical functionality, as would the former. First established in 1990, The North Face’s Expedition System revolves around detachable panels that are used to combat inclement weather conditions. With that in mind, the duo set its artistic focus upon the Denali Jacket, Himalayan Coat, Mountain Kaban and Nuptse puffer jacket; all of which give prominence to both, Margiela’s MM6 Numbers logo and The North Face’s infamous half dome emblem.
Accompanying the main line, is a stash of accessories, including a Tabi-centric Nuptse scarf, a circular-style backpack, and a clutch molded in the form of the outerwear specialist’s Base Camp Duffel.
The full MM6 Maison Margiela x The North Face collection will make its debut up on the runways of London Fashion Week and will come up for retail this coming September. You can look for the collaborative range online. In other fashion news, check out PLEASURE’s new Spring/Summer 2020 lookbook.
