More so than just housing pieces from some of the most influential names in the luxury space, Dover Street Market continues to work hand-in-hand with such labels to co-create stylistic collections exclusive only to its doors. Earlier this past summer, Gucci and DSM took the wraps off their joint Fall/Winter 2019 range, and have since realigned for the transition to spring.
Filtered through Alessandro Michele’s creative prism, wares appear to take on assertive vintage sensibilities by way of tassels, embroidery, shimmery metallics and aged leather. A two-piece hooded jacket/shorts combo—clad in glossy gold—catch the eye as the offering’s lone sporty contribution, while an assortment of accompanying staples apply the finishing touches. The elongated mohair overcoat with Gucci’s interlocking GG pattern stands out amongst the lot, much in the same way as the patchwork-centric leather Harrington jacket and peak-lapeled double-breasted vest, respectively.
For those interested, the full Dover Street Market x Gucci collection is available for purchase now via DSM’s online store. Elsewhere in fashion, KITH and NemeN recently unveiled a tie-dye capsule collection.
