Those who know and appreciate FACETASM are fully aware of Hiromichi Ochiai’s flair for the dramatic. The Japanese brand’s oeuvre involves reimagining quintessential classics in a way that speaks to the heart of true cultural progression. As a way to inflect such classics, Ochiai places creative emphasis on bold print placement and obscure silhouette manipulation over and above any sort of trend prognosis.

After initially teasing the collection at Paris Fashion Week last year, FACETASM has now been given the opportunity to officially unveil its collaborative range with Levi’s. A quick look at the offering highlights a swarm of signature pieces that pass through the streetwear label’s imaginative lens. The original Linked Trucker, for instance, takes on a Frankenstein-style semblance, appearing to be dismantled and then stitched back together via deerskin leather. The Wide & Slim Trucker, on the other hand, is a piece that is assembled using two jackets of varying sizes.

Set to drop sometime later this month, the FACETASM x Levi’s SS20 capsule will eventually make its way to select stockists worldwide. In other key fashion news, ADER Error put together an alien-centric spring/summer capsule.
