eBay for Charity Offers Rare Prints from Pablo Picasso & Andy Warhol

To benefit the Help a Life Foundation.

American multinational e-commerce conglomerate, eBay, is stepping up in a big way by partnering up with Help a Life Foundation. Since its inauguration back in 2007, the charitable cause has helped provide housing and education to countless orphaned girls residing in Debre Markos, Ethiopia. In a move that sees a plethora of rare artworks brought to the mainstream masses, eBay will curate a series of over 25 original photographs and paintings from some of the world’s most expressive creators, with 100 percent of the proceeds reserved for the humanitarian initiative.

Of the many featured, standout contributions include a limited-edition print of Andy Warhol’s infamous “Campbell Soup” can, in addition to Picasso’s “Le Musicien de Rue” lithograph print that was published in Paris back in 1956. Other notable works include Douglas Kirkland’s uber rare “An Evening With Marilyn Monroe” print, and Peter Tunney’s hand-painted, archival museum silkscreen board of James Dean.

For those interested, be sure to check out the artful exhibit now through eBay for Charity’s official website. Elsewhere in design news, Spencer McMullen was tasked with creating a new Converse Chuck 70 silhouette.
