One of streetwear’s most beloved artist’s is set to unleash his very own fashion label. Who you ask? None other than Daniel Arsham of course. No stranger to the world of wearables having co-designed sneakers alongside Dior, not to mention upping the style ante for the Cleveland Cavaliers as the team’s creative director, the unveiling of Objects IV Life, however, is the creative’s solo foray into the world of fashion. It really was only a matter of time, some might say.
Created in tandem with Tomorrow–a London-based brand accelerator who have helped the likes of Martine Rose and Loverboy by Charles Jeffrey get off the ground–Objects IV Life is an extension of how Daniel Arsham views clothing.
“Objects IV Life comprises foundation pieces intending to build a wardrobe of uniforms for a creative way of life,” explained Arsham in a related post. “As I have been developing this first chapter I have started to understand this clothing in the same way I think about sculpture. It is much like alchemy.”
The brand is a reflection of his personal style, as can be seen in the minimalist-style workwear silhouettes he is accustomed to sporting in his everyday life–not at all a departure from the brutalist aesthetic that carries his namesake sculptures forward.
