BAPE is easily one of the most recognizable streetwear brands in the market today, however, is by no means foreign to progressive high-fashion circles. Earlier this year, the Japanese brand unveiled a collaborative capsule alongside Coach and once again look to juxtapose casual comfort against clean sophistication. In doing so, BAPE has enlisted the help of COMME des GARÇONS to refine a stash of its signature staples.

Spread out over a range of T-shirts and hoodies is a set of creative branding cues central to both imprints. For example, BAPE’s instantly-recognizable Ape head and camo print pattern sees randomized CdG emblems scattered around, with the word “Osaka” and both brand names embellishing black and white tees. Other noteworthy pieces include a pinstripe button-down with the aforementioned Ape head graphic, in addition to a zipped sports jacket.
The joint BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS Osaka collection will make its debut on June 20 and will be exclusive to the “BAPE STORE® COMME des GARÇONS” retail concept shop located at the bottom of the newly relocated CdG Osaka store.
